UPDATE ON THE CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION

PROJECT RESULTING FROM

THE SORENSEN GIFT

Pictures of our organ reconstruction - Click here

We are all very excited here because the keyboards arrived today from
Germany! The entire mechanism is superbly done - I kept staring for nearly
two hours at the fine details of their work. My design of all the coupling
mechanisms turned out to be very effective - quiet, light and pleasant to
the touch.

Our next step will be to build the console cabinet/enclosure around the
keyboard mechanisms. This cabinet will also serve as the center "pillar" for
the façade. I am sending you few photos of the pedal windchests when they
were being made, toeboards, etc... as well as the photos of the keyboards. I
must say that I really like the cherry wood color. Now we have a lot of work
with assembly of the console - name plates, knobs, tracker exits, and so
forth.

It is all slowly coming together. I think that in about a month we will
start working on the façade towers - one at a time.

Kind regards to everyone!

Tom
