UPDATE ON THE CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION PROJECT RESULTING FROM THE SORENSEN GIFT
We are grateful for our construction crew’s sensitivity and concern for safety as well as accessibility for the activities of our busy church. We witnessed this last week as work was stopped for a memorial service and as safety precautions were taken during Vacation Bible School. Work has begun on extending the Welcome Center on the Elm Street side. Please use the kitchen door or stairwell door for building access from that parking lot. Work continues in the sanctuary on the concrete floor for the organ chamber. The chamber builder must communicate with the organ builder to coordinate the dimensions of the concrete opening for air conduits, voltage for the blower, etc. Meanwhile the organ builder writes from New York that his crew is busy preparing the over 1,800 pipes that the organ will have.
