CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

(Birth - 5 Grade)

Church Hour Activities for Children:

Nursery - Room 117 - 8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

A nursery is provided for infants/toddlers for all services.  We have experienced caregivers to provide a safe and loving atmosphere.  We ask all parents to sign their child in and to leave their cell phone number to be used as a pager.  Parents will be called if a child cries continuously for 15 minutes or more.

A consistent caregiver is employed in the infant nursery every Sunday morning.  Other child care/Sunday School rooms are staffed by parents or other experienced volunteers.

Toddler’s Church - Room 116

Children 2 - 3 years old are invited to join toddler’s church beginning at 10:50 a.m. until the end of the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Godly Play - Room 113

Children 4 - 6 years old are invited to go to room 113 following the children’s sermon, Time for Young Disciples, in the 11:00 a.m. service. Godly Play draws on the traditions of ancient storytelling. The primary goal is for teachers to model how to use the language of the Christian tradition through presentations of parables, sacred stories, liturgy and silence. The Godly Play classroom provides a space to worship God, not just speak about God.  Trained volunteer teachers rotate teaching year long.

Worship Bags - Outside Sanctuary

Children 7 years and older are invited to remain in the sanctuary for worship.

Two different age appropriate worship bags are available for quiet activities and helpful tools for the worship.
