April 13

I Peter 2:19-25 - “An Example of Suffering”

              In both services we will have another moment about Mayfest for Missions. 

              In the 11:00 a.m. worship, we will celebrate the sacrament of baptism, and

              our 3rd & 4th Grade Worship Class will meet.

 

April 20

I Peter 2:2-10 – “A Living Stone and Chosen People”

              Robert Vodra, Director of Camp Albemarle, will be in both services and in

           the Fellowship Hall during Sunday School to share a moment about our

           Presbyterian camp in Newport, NC.

 

           4:30 p.m. Special Music Worship Service – featuring special musicians along

           with the Gallery Choir, Children’s Choirs, Bell Choir, and Flute Choir.

 

April 27

I Peter 3:13-22 – “The Righteous for the Unrighteous”

              We will recognize college graduates of the Class of 08. 

 

May 4

I Peter 4:12-14; 5:6-11 – “Recipients of the Spirit”

              In both worship services we will celebrate the Lord’s Supper and receive

              the Bucket Brigade offering for hunger projects and Food Bank donations

              of canned and boxed goods.  In the 11:00 a.m. service, we will celebrate

           the sacrament of baptism.

 

May 11

Acts 2:1-21- “Blow, Spirit, Blow”

Pentecost Sunday and Mother’s Day

              Our children’s choirs will sing in the 11:00 a.m. service.  We will lift in

              prayer those who are at Camp Albemarle leading our annual Girls’ Camp.
