Schedule for Youth at First Presbyterian Church
FROM OUR DIRECTOR OF YOUTH MINISTRY, DAVID ROBERTS . . . . Youth Connection is for all Middle School and Senior High students. May 11: Mother’s Day/St. Paul’s Youth Sunday We’ll be taking a break from Youth Connection so you can spend the day with your mom and let her know how awesome she is. I will actually be back in California doing the same, because I love my mommy that much. . . and also I have to go there for ordination stuff. In the morning, youth are invited to attend St. Paul’s for worship, where they will be celebrating their Youth Sunday and you might well recognize a lot of the folks leading worship! Anyone who wants to go can meet during Sunday School and ride the FPC bus over there. May 18: Little Willie Foundation – Mid & Sr. High You know, you don’t have to go far to help others in need. The Little Willie Center is a fantastic place right in our own community where underprivileged kids in Greenville can go to have a safe place after school. They provide tutoring, school supplies, nutritious food, and a caring atmosphere for kids who just need a little more love. This Sunday Renee Arrington from the center will be visiting to tell us more about their program and how we as students can help! May 25: Memorial Day Weekend Youth Connection will not meet due to the holiday. Cooks for the week can also take a break. June 1: Year End Parties – Mid & Sr. High Time to bid farewell to a wonderful year. And even better, say hello to summer! The Mid High party will be hosted by the Pabsts and Fishers, and the Sr. Highs by the Farriors. Come on out and enjoy the good times, good friends, and good grub. More details will follow. July 27 – August 2: Montreat Youth Week – Sr. High Oh I know the countdown has been going on for a while already, but now it’s down to numbers I can recognize. Be sure to check out this awesome youth retreat for rising high school freshmen through graduating seniors. The conference center is beautiful, the speakers and music are incredible, the games and energizers are beast, and most importantly the people are just amazing. You can reserve your spot today by dropping off a deposit of $100 per student in the envelope in my mailbox. What are you waiting for?
*All youth must submit a Permission and Medical Release Form to participate in youth events of 2007-2008. If you still need a form, you can get one from David Roberts.
