Time to spring clean for the community! Drop off your items by the end of the month. We're happy to provide a donation receipt if desired. The big sale is May 3 and all proceeds stay LOCAL with grants to organizations serving our Greenville and Pitt Country community.

We’re hard at work in this Easter Saturday getting ready for Worship tomorrow and Mayfest for Community Outreach May 3!

Early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, and their lives were forever changed. Let's join them! Park in the lot off 14th street and head for the small memorial garden to the left of the sanctuary. We'll have chairs, but you may prefer to bring your own. Service will be simple, short, but deeply moving. Appropriate for ALL ages.

Let's start something new together. Be a part of worship filled with wonder and hope. 6:30am (outdoors), 8:30am & 11am in the sanctuary.

Join us on Tuesday, March 4 at 6pm for the Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner and place a bid on one of four King Cakes that will be available for auction! Three of the four are scratch-made by talented FPC bakers and one is from Gambino’s in New Orleans! Proceeds benefit the children & youth attending Worship & Music Conference at Montreat in June.

Lord, You know how deep a warrior’s wounds go. You know the loss that many of our veterans experience in body and soul. You know the memories that haunt them and the scars that many of them continue to carry. Please bring healing to those veterans who still hurt. Please grant patience and wisdom to those around them who cannot understand but can sometimes help the healing process. Please send them both physical and spiritual balm for their wounds. May your peace which passes all understanding settle into their hearts, their minds, and their spirits this day and always. Amen.

Youth at Montreat

Our youth are at @montreat this weekend working to clear trees from a trail. For those who love Lake Susan, check out the pictures at the end of the dredging project in process, and finally the strong and faithful dam, which might be blocked up but HELD in the face of Helene.

Our youth are headed to @montreat for their fall service retreat. We’re overwhelmed by the way they are seeking to love their neighbors and help with recovery efforts in Western NC and this place that is so dear for so many. #mountainstrong #montreat #lovegodlovepeople

In worship we learned about how Love Builds Up and our kids had fun making #ValentinesForStrangers (or if you could see the look of horror one child’s face when I suggested he makes something for a stranger - “Valentines for people we don’t know”)

Need a moment of peace? Our nursery is ready to care for your little ones on Christmas Eve for our 5pm Family service. We always welcome kids in worship (and we’ll have a pick-up pageant ready for any sheep, angles, or even Marys who want to join), but we know parents may also need some rest on this holy night (or time to focus on bigger siblings). Our nursery will be open for the 5pm family service which will include an Christmas pageant that anyone can join. If you’ve got a little one whose heart is set on being Mary, bring them! If you’ve got a little sheep to shepherd, or even if you’ve always wanted to be a King, join us! (And don’t worry, it’s still a traditional service with all the carols, candlelight, and communion that makes the night special.) Our 11pm service is the perfect way to greet Christmas morning. Today is the 15th anniversary of my ordination. Remembering what it was like 3 years ago. This big guy was about the size of his current head. We were exhausted and completely DONE with online everything (school and church being my particular stressors) and we still had so much left to go, but we only glimpsed what the next few months might hold - Vaccine miracles, mask debates, the death of so many people, things, dreams, but also life. But right now I’m remembering family dinners and Jake’s birthday Lego challenge, hours stolen away in my backyard hammock with this baby puppy, the smell of roses planted by the previous owner and flower beds bursting to life that I didn’t plant or tend but which gave me so much beauty in #2020 What do you remember?
